SCOTLAND OF THE SAINTS - this book might be described as an account of the coming of the early church to Scotland. But it is also an attempt to unite the resources of archaeology, geography, hagiography and history in building up the composite picture of the early history of Argyll, of the ancient kingdom of Dalriada, and of the work of the Celtic saints in the West Highlands of Scotland. Ninian, Columcille, Moluag, Kenneth, Maelrubha and Donnan are the chief of the saints with which the author deals.
